What is Micronutrient Testing?
Micronutrient Testing Services specializes in providing Clients with the “Gold Standard” in micronutrient analysis from the best laboratories in the country.
Why are blood tests required?
Blood tests are the most accurate way to identify micronutrient deficiencies within the human body. We analyze all thirty-one (31) micronutrients.
What can I expect from Micronutrient Testing Services?
Visual representation of your micronutrient status (vitamins & minerals) along with predictive analytics.
How much does the Micronutrient Lab Panel Test cost?
The Micronutrient Lab Panel Test for all 31 Micronutrients (Vitamins & Minerals) is normally covered by your Health Insurance provider i.e. Blue Cross Blue Shield or Medicare: less deductibles and co-pays. Please confirm with your Health Care Provider prior to having your blood drawn.
How much do you charge for an “office visit” for Medical History and Prescription writing?
Micronutrient Testing Services does not charge for this Service.
If you have a personal physician, they can provide this service as well. Please inquire directly with your Physician as to their office visit charge. Do I have to visit to your office and meet with your physician to complete my Medical History and obtain a Prescription?
No, this can be done remotely over the telephone via Telehealth.
Do I need to make an appointment with your Physician?
Yes, our Administrative Team will schedule a 30-minute session with one of our Physicians; typically, within 1 to 3 days.
Where do I go to get my blood drawn?
LabCorp. LabCorp has more than 1,000 “walk-in” Clinics Nationwide; no appointment needed. Google “LabCorp” or call our office and our administrative team will identify a LabCorp Clinic that is convenient to where you live or work.
How often do I need my Micronutrient’s tested?
Once per year as part of your annual Physical Exam is typical. However, if you are extremely deficient in certain Vitamins or Minerals, your physician may recommend more frequent testing.
How much blood is drawn?
Less than 1 pint of blood is draw.
How long does it take to get my blood drawn at a LabCorp Clinic?
You will normally be in and out within 30 minutes depending on how busy the Clinic is. The Blood draw takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Do I have to pay anything during my visit to the LabCorp Clinic?
Yes, if your plan requires a co-pay, you will have to pay the co-pay amount during your visit.
What are my total out of pocket expenses for my blood draw?
Around $ 300 is typical and includes co-pay and deductible. Please confirm with your Health Insurance Provider prior to having your blood drawn.
What if I do not have Health Insurance?
The Micronutrient Lab Panel test is cost prohibitive for most people if you are un-insured. Lab fees can range from $ 2,000 to $ 3,800 for a complete Micronutrient Lab Panel Test.
How soon do I get my results?
About 14 days.
Will Micronutrient Testing Services send my Lab Panel Test Results, Data Analytic Reports and Predictive Analytics to my personal Physician and myself?
Yes, via email. However, you will need to sign a medical release form.
Following testing, what do I do if I am low or deficient in Micronutrients?
The only way to cure a micronutrient deficiency is with a Diet rich in the vitamins and minerals you are deficient in. Vitamin and Mineral Supplements can also be considered. Additionally, we offer an optional meal planning service through Remediation Services.
